Our home is perfect for a weekend getaway to Shenandoah National Park.
Only 15 minutes from the Thornton Gap Entrance, the Hillside House is perfect for driving up to catch the sunrise or that extra little hike after dinner.
You don't even have to leave the property to enjoy the park, just sit on the back deck and enjoy views of some of Shenandoah's stunning scenery.
A Front Porch For Happy Hours and Morning Coffee
The front porch is one of our favorite features of this house.
Start your day with a cup of coffee and relax in the rockers and the quiet of the countryside as you plan you adventures.
After a long day of exploring the area, watch the sunset over Kennedy Peak in the George Washington & Jefferson National Forest and enjoy a brew from Hawksbill Brewing Company or some local wine.
Vintage Farmhouse with Modern Touches
Our home was built in the 1900's by a local craftsman and has been recently restored. All of the hardwood floors are original along with all of the doors and hardware.
We have put a modern spin on The Hillside House to create a place that is unique and a mix of our favorite design elements.
Not only is it beautiful but it should be functional - we have everything that you need to enjoy a perfect weekend away, no matter if it includes cooking a 5 course meal or frozen pizza.
We hope our space is a relaxing, beautiful getaway to Luray and Shenandoah National Park!
