2024 Events near Luray, Virginia You Should Add to Your Calendar

Luray Virginia has so many amazing things going for it - the mountains, the national park, the historic downtown.

But another amazing thing it also has is a strong, colorful, and happening community, that’s always up to something! There are so many events, festivals, and things to look forward to in this little town, we wanted to list of a few that should be on your radar for 2024.

If you’re either planning a getaway around one of these events or happen to participate while you’re there - all of the events listed here and more will help create memories and a trip you won’t forget!

Weekly Events

Weekly there are a ton of local events you can participate in. From grabbing local produce to finding a fun way to spend an evening, there’s always a great opportunity to get involved.

Farmers Markets

There are a couple of farmers markets that happen regularly through the spring, summer and fall around Luray. Daughter of the Stars Farmers Market happens regularly at the train station in Luray, and Heard’s Farm Market not only has great produce regularly, but have a fun outdoor market on Sundays typically with live music and food trucks

Movies on Main - Typically Tuesdays

The Page Valley Theater is a favorite place we love to visit regularly throughout the year, but they also host a free family-friendly community movie regularly, typically on Tuesdays. Check out the Page Valley Events calendar for dates, movies, & showtimes.

Broad Porch Trivia Night (Saturdays from 5-6)

Looking for a fun way to spend some time on Saturday? Broad Porch Coffee Company typically hosts a Trivia Night on Saturdays from 5-6 weekly! Double check on their social media or stop by for a cup of coffee early and ask about their schedule.

Live Music Winter Series at Wisteria

Enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy Wisteria’s winter Cozy Cushpad Afternoons regularly throughout the year from January through to May. This is a perfect event if you’re visiting in the slower offseason when there’s less happening, but a great way to spend an afternoon and explore Stanley! Bonus points if you grab a late brunch at Hawksbill Diner beforehand.

PACA’s Polar Bear Plunge - Lake Arrowhead

February 17th

Page Alliance for Community Action is hosting a Polar Plunge at Lake Arrowhead in February! Be Brave and support this amazing little community! Tickets are $35 per person or $30 PP for a team of 5 or more. Learn more Here

Taste of the Valley Wine, Beer, and Spirits Festival

June 15th

Probably the event I’m most looking forward to! Enjoy live music, great food, and lots of regional delicious beverages from some of the best breweries, wineries, and distilleries in the area! Learn more about the event and the Blue Ridge Whisky Wine Loop here!

Page County Fair

August 20-26th

The Page County Fair is a crowd favorite! Enjoy a classic and nostalgic carnival filled with elephant ears, carnival games, and lots of fun! The event happens at the Page Valley Fair Grounds for a whole week - It’s a perfect family friendly event to live like a local! Learn more and buy your tickets here

Luray International Triathlon

August 19th

Looking for a little competition? Sign up for the Luray International Triathlon and test your strength while seeing luray from the trails and lakes! Learn more about the event and sign up here!

Tour De Skyline

September 8-9

There’s so many ways to be active in Lure, the Tour De Skyline is just another prime example. Start your 2-day, 220 mile bike ride along the full length of Skyline Drive, then take some time to relax at our farmhouse and enjoy the area. More details and sign up available here!
